Fashion Fun series, a line of DIY ensembles designed to let young collectors create Barbie’s wardrobe without a needle or thread. Using specially formulated glue strips, girls could design and assemble stylish fashions at home, complete with Mattel’s hallmark fabrics, colors, and prints. Because the line was produced for only a brief time and required children to construct the fashions themselves, surviving complete sets are virtually never found—especially with instructions, fabrics, and glue strips intact.
