Gorgeous older vintage Native American Zuni Snake Eye sterling silver half hoop moon earrings. At the heart of this piece lies the legendary Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. Sourced from the now closed mine in Globe, Arizona, these stones are the "Tiffany Blue" of the mineral world. The snake eye design is a technique is a masterclass in miniature lapidary work. It requires the artisan to hand cut tiny, perfectly spherical cabochons and hand set each individually into a hand fabricated sterling silver bezel. This creates a kaleidoscopic texture and a refined silhouette that drapes across the wrist with architectural elegance. The earrings are 21mm x 4mm.
