The outer fabric, with its distinctive grid-like stitching throughout, is a durable water-repellent polyester ripstop material.

The insulation uses 60g of PrimaLoft Gold, the synonym for high-insulation synthetic insulation. Grid-like stitching, like bricks, is applied to the front and back to hold the insulation in place and stabilize it.

Synthetic insulation was originally created as a substitute for down, but it actually has the advantage of covering the weaknesses of down. That weakness is its vulnerability to getting wet. Once down absorbs moisture, it becomes flat, loses its insulation power rapidly, and doesn't dry easily. This can not only make you feel cold, but in some cases, it can even be life-threatening.

In contrast, synthetic insulation does not lose its bulk even when wet and hardly loses its insulation power. Moreover, its quick-drying properties, drying with body heat while wearing it, are also a major feature. You can use it casually in any environment without worrying about getting wet from rain, snow, sweat, or moisture from your body.
