The Karakorum Evo GTX from La Sportiva are tough, crampon-compatible leather mountaineering boots for mountaineering in demanding terrain. Equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane, the boots not only fend off water from the outside but also allow moisture in the shoe to escape to the outside, keeping your feet nice and dry as a result. The high-quality Vibram outsole comes equipped with an Impact Brake System and delivers superb grip along with plenty of cushioning and support on descents. The insole comes complete with an anti-torsion plate for added stability. Speaking of stability, the high, nicely padded collar stabilises the ankle, whilst the 3D Flex system promotes easy flex. For protection from rock and debris, the boot features a protective rand as well. But, it wouldn’t be complete without a climbing zone at the front of the sole for short climbs and scrambles!
