Trio VTG Umberto Mascagni Photo Frames Italy Gilt Snake Print Designer Signed.
Here’s your chance to own a piece of Italian mid century design!! I couldn’t break up the set, even though the red frame is missing its stand. These frames are stunning! The brass stands are marked with Umberto Mascagni’s original stamp on one slide and on the other marked with “made in Italy”. The vinyl fronts have very few scratches and no dents in the metal frame edges.
I am unsure of their exact date but they feel very Art Nuvo in style, however Mascagni was known for being ahead of his time. My educated guess is that these were from the late 60’s/early 70’s.
Mascagni was founded by Umberto Mascagni in 1930, initially starting as a laboratory making picture frames. Around 1970, his son Mario started expanding their production, turning their attention first towards household furniture and then towards office furnishings.
