Antique Brown Floral Triangle Shawl with Fringe – Victorian/Edwardian Era
Rescued from a trunk of antique clothing in New Hampshire, this beautiful triangular shawl is a true survivor from the Victorian or Edwardian era. Featuring a delicate floral design and long fringe, this piece carries both charm and history.
Please note:
There is visible damage to some of the floral detailing, with what appears to be old repairs, possibly done by the original owner.
Staining is present on the inside of the shawl (see all photos for details).
The fabric has a musty smell from long-term storage.
I have not attempted to clean this item, as I am not experienced with antique textiles.
Despite its flaws, this shawl is a gorgeous piece for restoration, display, costume use, or historical reference. A unique find for collectors of antique clothing or period fashion.
